Gift idea for Fmil?

Marina, on March 12, 2020 at 3:20 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 7

I have to brace myself because the Birthday of my future MIL is coming. We don't have very good relationship. I know she isn't particulary happy with her son'c choice (me) but we communicate OK. I mean, we aren't hugging and kissing each other but we respect each other(at least that's what I'm trying to do). I honestly don't know what to give her as a present because last year I wasn't her son's bride so he told me I don't have to present at the family gathering (which I was happy about). But now we are almost a family so I have to think of something good. What would you choose? I thought about some spa day for her but I don't know if this is a good option.

Why doesn’t your husband take responsibility and buy a present which is from you both?

SAME with me. I bought a subscription to Smartshow 3d for my FMIL, she travels a lot and enjoys making video photo albums. She looked satisfied, maybe this year she will even use it. Smiley catface

I support KiwiDerbyBride, let your man think about a present from both of you.

I think a spa day is a good, safe choice.

I agree with this. Ever since my husband and I moved in together (before we were engaged), every gift I've given to a family member has always been from both of us, not just me.

I would assume a gift from you & your husband is fine, and a card. Not two separate ones.

Ask FH for suggestions and also run the spa day idea past him first. A LOT of people don't like having strangers touch them (feet, massage, etc).
