Hi everyone! My wedding day is less than 3 months away and I’m starting to really think about the little details for the day. I’m looking for ideas for gifts. I’m thinking about getting gifts for the following people (let me know if anything I say is not really standard or if I’m missing anything). What did you do or what are you planning to do?

- Party favors (there is a good chance we won’t do this, but I’m curious if anyone has seen or done anything unique and useful?)- gift for my soon to be husband- gifts for bridesmaids- gift for my soon to be MIL and FIL

I can't help with the gifts generally but in terms of wedding favors, they tend to be disregarded and can often be a waste of money. If you choose to have favors, I would encourage you to consider edible favors (such as cookies or chocolate) or something personalised for your guests - for instance, at one wedding, the bride and groom hired a photographer to specifically go around and photograph guests and then had the photos printed and turned into keyrings (photos sealed in acrylic), though I was told it was very expensive!

You can scrap the wedding favors and also the gift to your future spouse unless you two specifically agreed on gifts. My husband and I agreed that the wedding and honeymoon were already our gift to each other. For parents, a sweet note and an IOU for framed wedding photos/an album is usually good if they are sentimental. For wedding party: shop like it's their birthday. Avoid things that say "bridesmaid" or your wedding date on them as they are less likely to ever be used again.

Thank you! I’m thinking the same about favors. We probably won’t do them, but I’m just curious for unique ideas. The key chain idea is cute! But I’m sure very pricey lol
