Gift for fsil

Kelsey, on February 5, 2020 at 1:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

So I have a few gifts for those in my bridal party already. My FH hasn't started his and to be honest he is on his own lol. I also bought a few items for my flower girls along with their dresses. My FSIL isn't in the wedding party, but I have a few things for her that are similar to what I got my bridal party. A make up bag and I also got her a robe; I'm not making her get ready with us but thought I should have one just in case. I bought my MOH and bridesmaid a piece of individual jewelry that they can both wear again. But I can't find anything for FSIL, I want to get her something. But my FH also pointed out jewelry might not be the best option since she is a nurse. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't know her that well since we have only met about 5 times since we live in different states.

You can ask your FH what kind of things she is into and try to get something related to a hobby or activity. I wouldn't worry about it too much though. I've actually never heard of giving gifts to future in-laws not in the BP except the parents (which is usually something from the 2 of you, or from the groom). Has she been super helpful with wedding planning? If she hasn't been that involved, I guess I'm not sure why you feel obligated to get her a gift at all. I'm sure whatever you already have is plenty. You could always do a wine that she likes, or favorite snack food. I honestly wouldn't stress too much about this though. Good luck!

Hey Kelsey! If she is a nurse, I imagine bracelets and necklaces may not be best, but what about earrings? A nice stud pair she can wear everyday Smiley smile
