Gift for Aunt, ideas???

FH's aunt and uncle has sent us money to help pay for wedding expenses. We want to get them something to thank them for the financial help. We are struggling to figure out what to get for his aunt. They live in a small home, so knick-knacky type things are out. Any ideas for his aunt? His uncle is going to get a personalized knife like the dads and groomsmen. I have ordered a personalized tumbler for his aunt (also part of the bridesmaid gifts and mother gifts), but we want to give her something a little more.

Maybe a gift certificate for someplace to get her hair or nails done? Maybe a massage? To a restaurant?

If I were the one gifting money for a wedding, I would want the money used on the wedding, not a gift back for me. If they have a small house a personalized tumbler, would get tossed.

Instead, I would write a heartfelt letter explaining how thankfuk you were for their generous gift and so glad they are in your lives and will be there on your special day. If you want a tangible gift, a book of thanks or about their favorite things (arts, sports, poetry) and a personalized inscription.

I agree with Tania and Jane; write a lovely thank you card, send them a nice photo after the fact.

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking along the same lines, but FH insists on getting her something. I like the photo idea, maybe we can have the photographer take a photo of just them and us and we can send them a copy of that once we get them back.

I'm in pretty much the same situation as you Mrs.F. My aunt gave us a very generous gift towards our wedding. These are great ideas for showing our appreciation!

I am super close with my aunt too! she bought me my wedding dress. one of the gifts i got her was off of etsy. its a silver bracelet and on the inside its engraved "best aunt ever" it came out super cute and i know she will appreciate it. the sellers name is "TheSilverSwing"
