Heather, on November 18, 2019 at 1:23 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5
Hello lovely BTB, need some help please. Me and my HTB have 4 children between us he has ( at time of wedding 10 yr old daughter and i have a 17 yr old son, 13 yr old daughter and 11 yr old daughter) how would suggest incorporating them into the wedding, i have already asked my son to walk me down the aile, but then were does he go? And what about our girls he does not want his daughter standing with him as he says it will look silly. HELP!!!! Any suggestions are great at this point.
Thanks

I would also ask your kids what they would want to do. It might be a little awkward having them stand up there the whole time. But having your son walk you down the aisle is very special. I would maybe have a little piece of the ceremony that they could be a part of like a sand ceremony to unit both your families or you can have the younger ones be your flower girls! If they don’t stand up there with you have them sit in one of the first couple rows. Good luck! I would love to hear how it all ends up!

    Hey there, Heather.

I love that you’re looking for a way to incorporate all the kids in to the weddingSmiley heart

After your son walks you down the aisle, he could take a seat in the front/second row with other family members.

A great idea for the girls is to have them as junior bridesmaids. They don’t have to stand by either of you during the ceremony. After taking their walk down the aisle, they could take a seat in the front/second row beside their brother.

Another idea is to have the girls say a poem or reading together during the ceremony.

Do you like any of these ideas?

We have six between us. I came in with three girls, he had two boys, and we have one daughter together. We've been together FOR.EVER. We are planning a simple "I do" ceremony (no saying our own vows, no readings, no anything really).

I don't have parents so we are walking down the aisle together (unless we decide I walk to him). Our oldest daughter is 31 and our youngest is 14. We also have 4 grandkids. We are planning on having all the kids and grandkids walk before me to the ceremony site (it's a gazebo) and have them stand and wait for me/us. Then they will sit once FH and I stand there together. Of course I say this now, but who knows what will actually happen. Smiley winking
