Getting rings soldered before the wedding?

I'm not soldering mine.

I don't think I'd wear my band alone because the shape fits against the e-ring so it looks a little weird on its own, but I don't want them soldered because I like a little space between them.

If I were getting it I guess I would do it before the wedding and wear a different ring while it was being done so my finger wouldn't feel bare

I never soldered mine. I didn't think I wanted it done and figured that if I ever changed my mind about that, I could always have it done later. I haven't changed my mind.

I have 2 diamond bands with my e ring and am getting them soldered before the wedding. I'm OCD and it would make me crazy if they weren't lined up correctly, etc. And I would never want to wear just a band. I ordered a cheap Sterling cz solitaire off Amazon ($20) to wear for that couple weeks before the wedding, and figure I'll have that on hand for anytime my rings need repairs, etc.

I probably won't get mine soldered because I have visions of wearing just the band sometimes!

I guess I was lucky. Mine was done in an hour. I took them two weeks before expecting to have to come back, but he wasn't busy..

FH wants me to soldered it and I will. I have a ring that he gave me on our first anniversary that I will give to my step daughter one day that I can wear. He wants me to do it before the wedding. I'll miss my ring but it will get done

I'm thinking about doing it. My band turns a bit to where the diamonds aren't lining up with the diamonds on my engagement ring.

ETA I don't ever picture myself just wearing one or the other. How much does this cost? I'm clueless ..

I won't be. I want the ability to wear them separately without issue if I want or need to. If we are thinking about TTC when it gets to baby years I want to be able to sport a band only rather than catch a baby on my setting.

I like having the option to just wear the wedding band if I'm just running errands or something. A whole set is beautiful together, I just like the flexibility of seperate!

Did not even know this was a thing but now I want to do it! My band is contoured out where it lines up with the diamond so I know I'd never wear it alone. Will wait until after the wedding though because it seems odd to wear the band before then!
