Getting Ready Photos: Are You Doing or Ditching?

Ditching it! We don’t really need the details done and will have others taking so many photos. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I want first looks from my parents, but otherwise I just want the photographer to capture the love and important/impactful pictures.

I’m ditching them!! I really don’t want my photographer taking pictures while I’m getting ready, plus my bridal party are under the ages of 18.

I’m so far out from deciding that, but, when I have thought about it I remember how much I’ve always loved looking at the photos of my sister, my cousin, and I when we were flower girls in my aunts wedding and we didn’t have an actual photographer, but, a family member took photos of us all getting ready at my grandmas house. I don’t think I miss the photos from the weddings I’ve been in as an adult, but, those have always meant a lot to me. I’d probably do it more for other people than myself.

My photographer is actually a friend who I went to jr high and high school with, so shes going with me when I get my hair and makeup done and is going to take pictures and also just to hangout while I get ready since I am getting it done at the salon.
