Getting Ready outfits!?

I have been thinking about what to do about getting ready outfits. I am almost thinking not to even worry about it! I have been just thinking about telling my girls to wear what ever is most comfortable for them!

Is anyone else just not even going to worry/stress about it? Has anyone who is already married not worry/stress about it?

I know my girls are not props so I do not want them to wear something because I want the getting ready pictures to look perfect! I feel no matter what they will be perfect and we would all be happier in outfits that we feel comfortable in!

I decided to give them all tank tops ( Disney princesses since we went to Disney world for my bachelorette and we’re all obsessed lol) as part of their gift for the rehearsal dinner. Since it will be July and we will be at a salon they can wear them for getting ready.

I'm not stressing it. I need my ladies to just be comfortable. I'm wearing a robe I received as a bridal shower gift.

My wedding is country/rustic themed and also in the fall so we are all wearing flannels while getting ready. A lot of people wear robes and at my sisters wedding they were all in their pajamas! So it was super relaxed and comfortable

Thank you everyone! This making me feel better for not wanting to follow the robe trend! I do not even like Robes!

I am going to talk to my bridal party and see what they want!

My girls are all over the place with where they're getting ready. ones going to the salon. the other 2.... idk where theyre going or what theyre doing. I know I've got a robe cos I REALLY don't need to try to get something up over my face, this way I can have my long bra and a pair of shorts on and get into my dress without screwing up my hair or makeup

I am going back and forth with this idea, you could always ask them to wear the same color t-shirt or something simple like that.

I knew my girls would not ever wear the robe again and maybe not even enjoy wearing it that day so I didn't go with that. I've ordered us all VS PJs. They haven't come in yet but I'm hoping they're comfy and something they'd wear again. My MOH and I will be staying in a hotel the night before so we'll wear ours and take our own pics then. If the rest of them don't want to wear it getting ready they can wear whatever they want. I think a few getting ready pics will be cute whether everyone matchs or not.

I know for sure my girls would not care for a robe, and personally neither would I. They seem either too short or too easily slipped open (the satin ones). I had looked into PJs, but as a PP said, they are not conducive to morning errands. Also, we'll be doing hair and makeup on site, so they'd be walking through a hotel lobby in PJs, or have to change into em when they get there and that defeats the purpose IMO. My photographer is an 8 hour package and our party ends at 10 so she'll be getting there 3 hours before ceremony time, and that's a lot of pictures to be had forever with your sister in her favorite beat up old sweatshirt lol. SO- I decided to get everyone a casual button down shirt that they can wear with their own leggings to be comfortable. Purple for them, oatmeal for me. So far 3 out of 4 girls love it!! Waiting for the last to be delivered.

I have a MOH and 3 BM's, one is my 12 year old daughter. None of them were interested in robes so I won't get those. I may end up doing some flannel shirts with monograms since it's a rustic wedding in the fall....but, we are getting hair and makeup done at a salon and then going to where my parents are staying (rented an airbnb) to basically grab some food quickly and out our dresses on. They can definitely wear the flannels while getting hair and makeup done but I am not even sure we are having the photographer come to the house since there won't be too many pictures of us doing anything other than putting our dresses on. Good luck with whatever you decide!

I'm getting my 9 bridesmaids cotton robes off Etsy that are monogrammed with their initials. I've been in 2 weddings, the first one didn't do outfits and we didn't do getting ready photos. The second one did ($5 robes off Oriental Express) and we did getting ready photos. I like the matching look for photos, and I don't think giving someone a robe is ever a bad thing. Did you do shirts for your bachelorette party? They can wear those? If not, maybe ask them to color coordinate with a tshirt and leggings or something?

We didn't have the party yet, I also do not know what we are doing yet. I just know that it is in August. But that is a good idea, I will keep that in mind if they do have shirts for the party!

I'm not getting any getting ready outfits. People are going to wear what they're comfortable in and what they can get in and out of easily. I totally understand why people like them though. It looks cute when people match! But I just don't like it, myself. The girls already have the same dress and most likely similar hairstyles, I would like to see a bit of their personality in our getting ready pics rather than the fact that we managed to match.

This! This is what I was thinking exactly! I am almost wondering if it is ust main stream media and Pinterest that makes us think that this is a thing we have to do!

I feel like we would have more fun being comfortable in what we are wearing!

I'm not doing many getting ready photos so I'm skipping the robes, shirts, etc. I want more finishing touches photos. That way everyone is dressed and maybe we get just a few shots with us putting on our jewelry or shoes or whatever. I like the getting ready photos but they just arent my style.

I've struggled with this because I know it's mostly for picture purposes. I only have 2 in my bridal party (3 including me) so a part of me wants to splurge on them and buy something cute so we match, just since we'll be hanging around all morning. There are some really nice robes out there! Then the other part of me doesn't really care and just let them wear whatever they want and be comfortable. If anything, I may do cotton robes so they stay more in tact, or I saw another girl on here got christmas pajamas from Victoria's Secret which are super cute, and my wedding is next December(in FL) so that's something they could definitely wear again too. My sister got us satin robes for her wedding years ago, and I've never worn it again even though it's hanging in my bathroom lol.
