Getting Ready for Big Day!!!

Olivia, on July 15, 2020 at 12:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hey everyone!! So my day is approaching rather quickly, I’m struggling with trying to figure out what I wish the girls would dress for the day of the wedding while getting ready. I have seen the trend of wearing robes but I honestly don’t think it’s in my budget. Does anyone have any suggestions onto what they did instead of everyone having robes? But that they could all be similar/match? Does anyone have possible suggestions for a cheaper route or cheaper robes ? Thanks!!

I didn’t do this but I heard about a lot of people just buying matching tank tops or tshirts. Maybe you can get plain tshirts or tank tops in your wedding colors and give it to them to wear?

You could have everybody wear pajama shorts and a plain white V-neck shirt (or maybe black, to make sure there are no makeup/spray tan oopsies on the white). These are items that I’m sure every girl already owns. And even if all the pajama shorts were completely different from one another, the same color solid shirt on top would give it a sense of uniformity, while still allowing each girl to express their own individuality on the bottom.

I would say if you want to have them wear something specific then you may want to buy it. Not sure how far out your are but maybe check etsy for sales. Now if it is wear a certain color that hopefully everyone has that is different. Something to where it is easy and cheap for them. Something easy to take off for hair and make up purposes. These are BOGO https://www.etsy.com/listing/706826107/bogo-code-below-honeymoon-vibes-tank-top?ref=hp_rf-5&pro=1

You could ask them all to wear button up shirts. white for a uniform look or whatever color they have for a more rustic look.

You could ask them to wear black shorts or leggings with a button up or tank top in a specific color, but the colors might not be identical. If it is important to you that they look identical then you'd need to purchase whatever outfits you are requiring because your bridesmaids shouldn't be responsible for purchasing an outfit you want them to wear just for photos. It could be rather expensive for you to purchase whatever you would decide on,. I bought robes and they were $18 a piece.

I got little short and tshirt pajama sets. We have a store here called Five Below (I don't know how widespread the chain is) but I was able to get them for $5 a pair. Walmart and Target have a bunch of options for little matching pajama sets that are super comfy

I let them wear whatever they wanted to wear. You are lounging around for hours and getting you hair and make up done. I wanted everyone to be comfortable. I didn't care about us matching.

I ended up buying robes for the girls getting ready with me as a thank you gift for their support throughout the planning process. I spent about $30 per robe, but you could always look for inexpensive PJ sets, robes, or large sleep shirts on websites like Zaful or amazon that sell them for about $12-$15.
