I don't know much about NYC, but I have always loved photos in the train station. Something about the grandeur of that place...

I dont know NYC very well.. but i was just there Saturday.. what a great place to take pictures! I see that there is chance of thunderstorms and 50% chance of rain, which REALLY sucks. Is the wedding in the early part of the day or the evening?? What about at grand central? its such a beautiful place, lots of staircases to pose on,.. i think a few cool places to take some shots would be in a subway car or down in the tunnel area where you wait for the trains.., maybe the bride hoping over a turnstyle Smiley smile i think theres a lot of really awesome, creative photo opps in NYC.. even in the rain! goodl uck!

There are so many places to take great pictures at NY, indoor or outdoors. For indoor pictures, you may want to find a time that it is not busy, so typically in the morning. Raining or sunny does not matter much for indoor photography. Grand central terminal definitely is a great place to go. Good luck!

Also try the New York Public Library on 5th and 42nd st. It's gorgeous!! Downtown at Battery Park City is pretty, on the water with views of the Statue of Liberty. When down there, you can also go into the World Financial Center (2 really big buildings right under Ground Zero) where they have a beautiful atrium between the buildings. Hope that helps!

Yes, definitely check with Grand Central first before showing up. I am not 100% sure, but they may be strick there...since such a busy, public area...(Will keep fingers crossed for u!!) Would hate for you to show up and they have you leave.

Another idea would be by the Bethesda fountain in Central Park. There is a bridge there and you can shoot underneath. Beautiful detailing under the bridge. You can also have the fountain as a back drop..Very beautiful. And should it stop raining you could shoot by the fountain. Check with Central Park first if you need a permit...but you may have a better chance shooting picks there than in Grand Central.

    It looks very European...and elegant.

    Good luck!!

Regarding taking pictures at Grand Central Station, I got this information from http://grandcentralterminal.com/info/faq.cfm

It looks like it could work!!!

"If I want to take pictures in Grand Central, would I need a permit?

Anyone is free to take pictures inside Grand Central. However, if you would be using professional equipment like a tripod, you would need to get a permit through Metro-North's Corporate & Public Affairs Department at (212)340-4825. Please allow one week minimum advance notice or more, depending on the scope of your request."
