Getting Married in a different county

If I'm getting married in a different county do i need my license to be from the county where we have the ceremony?

    Depends on State.. WA state you can do it in a different county.

    I would check the Recorder of Deeds in the county where you live.

    You can get the license in an FL county courthouse and use it anywhere in FL.

    For MD, check with the office that issues marriage licenses (city hall or county courthouse or...?).

    You could always call your county courthouse or clerk and ask.

    In MD you need to get it from the county you're getting married in. For example, if you live in Anne Arundel County but you're getting married in Howard County, you have to get the license in Howard County. The good thing is that MD licenses are good for 6 months, so it gives you some time to be able to get to that other county ahead of time.
