You can have someone put it on right before the garter toss. That way it won't slip accidentally.

A lot of the garter sets come with two, one for tossing and the other to wear.. I think you'll be fine with shimmying it down your knee a bit... Your dress is beautiful by the way..

Mine had an extra one in his pocket so when he went up he just took it out of his pocket. No one even noticed.

True, the garter toss is going the way of the dinosaur along with the big puffy sleeved wedding dresses from the 80's. Some things should be left to die.

I was going to do what others suggested and lower it a bit for him as well as hike my dress up a little before sitting.

As far as the necessity to actually have a garter toss, I'm 50/50, but I know FH will enjoy it.

I plan to shimmy mine down. I think its a fun thing to do, but FH doesnt need to be all up in my business in front of 200 of our closest friends and family
