Getting Guests Addresses

I just wouldn’t send the invite, honestly. Really, how close could they be to you if they won’t answer your calls or texts? I wouldn’t worry about them, if it were me.

Yeah, tell me about it. It's really weird. A few have essentially been dodging both me and my FH in some instances. So I just want to take em off the list and move on. There's no reason why they can't respond and it's not like they haven't seen our calls or read our messages because they have. SO aggravating. Thank you, Heather!!

Are you telling them you need their address to send your wedding invite? I send cards for everything and I’ve asked for addresses before. There have been people who would ignore the request until I told them what I needed them for (birthday card, thank you card). I figure they might be quicker to respond if you let them know the purpose. If not, then don’t send the invite. If they know others and hear they got invited maybe they’ll finally send it 😉

My culture we usually go to their homes personally handing them out. But I will be sending some out to a few guests. Sending out 20 and personally handing out 30. Total (hopefully) 100 guests including plus one’s.

They should at least tell you “I’m sorry we won’t be making it” it just puts more stress on you because they just ignore you which isn’t right. We’re all adults.

I send out Christmas cards every year, so I already have the addresses I need. However, if people moved and I asked and got no response, they would not be getting an invite. It’s not that hard to respond to a text or email. Two tries would be my max.

Yes, I am telling them why I need their address. And it's like from some of them, NO response whatsoever it's ridiculous. So yeah, it's really weird and I'm just tempted to take them off the list and move on, because it's ridiculous, why am I chasing you for your address? LOL thank you so much!!

That is so good you already had the address you needed. Wow, I hear where you are coming from. I see it the same way, if I'm having to constantly ask you for something as simple as your address and you are reading my messages but not responding, then no invite. It shouldn't be that hard to respond!!! Sigh...

Maybe try to google it. Most of the information is out there.

We had this issue with one guest. She’s no longer a guest.

I agree with PPs that if they don't cooperate, they shouldn't expect an invite. You tried to work with them!

You also need to know addresses for any SO, and the titles people like to be called. So keep at it. Some people are just pills.

Honestly after a couple of tries without success, I’d cut them from the guest list. If they know why you’re asking and aren’t responding, I’d assume they have no interest in going.

I would also not send an invite. There's people I wasn't super excited about inviting anyway that wouldn't answer about their address. So i just removed them from the guest list.

If it’s causing you stress I would just let it go you did your part

Interesting idea, but why should I google my family members addresses? You know what I mean? I just don't agree with searching their home addresses up.
