Hi everyone! How are the brides doing?
We are to get married in October. AND I AM STRESSING OUT. We are uncertain of what to do and all the planning has seized because of COVID. We have a plan B but all this time with no planning is making me more anxious than ever! Any advice? What are y’all covid couples doing?

I have had to change my dates twice and I am hoping for a November 14 wedding. It has been so stressful planning that I have wanted to give up on this and just go to court house.

We’re getting married October 10th and my advice is talk to your venue! They will tell you what you are able to do or what they are expecting you’ll be able to do! It’s still four months away and we definately have time for things to change but it helps to get a little clarity from the venue during this time!

So for me, my wedding is 11/20/2021. I am hopeful that by then it will be a little better 🤞🏾. We had to push it that far due to my deployment so it was alright. I am definitely praying for you all that have had to cease and slow down your planning. I know how I feel and mine is next year so I can only imagine what you all are experiencing. I’m sure no matter what it will be a day to remember.

We were 6/20 and decided to postpone a year (about a month ago). Most of our vendors were already booked for September/October and we were concerned we’d have to push out again. My mother is being treated for breast cancer and I don’t want her on a plane any time soon. Then we decided we didn’t want to wait. We got married Friday night (6/5)in our backyard with our kids and a few close friends there. It was very meaningful and special. I ordered a cheap dress online and altered it myself! Made my bouquet with Costco flowers. Still had my hair and makeup done and our photographer was able to be there. The whole experience really helped us focus on the important stuff. Each other. Family. Our local friends who will support our marriage on a daily basis. We’ll have a big party on our one year anniversary. So our day was not at all what I had envisioned, but it was amazing. Good luck to all of you!

Date twin! Mine is in NY and we’re currently going into Phase 2. I’m planning to wait until the last week of July/first week of August to send out invites. However, i’m going to print out a small piece of paper to include the invites saying we’re monitoring the situation and instructing our guests to look at our website for updates. I’m doing this mostly bc I ordered invites in early March before all of this got started. I really don’t want my invites going to waste! LOL

If we do have to postpone, we’re still going to get married that day with just immediate family.(parents, siblings and we both just happen to have one really close friend who is are MOH and BM respectively) and we’ll have the reception on a postponed date.
I still have a few things to buy like center pieces, favors and some decorations so I’m buying things that don’t have our date on them just in case but also just to have in case we can go through with our original date. My thinking is, if we can get it now why not bc we’ll just hold onto it if we have to postpone.

We’re getting married in October as well and our venue can’t “accommodate” our guest list with the 6ft rule. So we r stuck between finding a new venue, postponing or finding a new venue

I’m a week after you and I’m in the same boat. I keep saying “I’ll make the call by August” but even that isn’t certain. I just keep telling myself that it is what it is and what is supposed to happen, will. Really hoping my venue is far enough up north in NY to not have any issues. 🤞🏼

10.24 here. And I’m just trying to take it in stride and plan as normal. I guess I have it a bit easier. I don’t need many more vendors, but I do need to start talking to friends/family about contributing food and because of social distancing it’s been a bit harder to see them and ask in person. I’d rather bring it up in normal conversation rather than message them specifically about it.

We're 10/31 and everything is pretty much set to go, lots of non-refundable deposits paid. We're moving forward as scheduled unless the venue is restricted from hosting events legally. We have about 175 invited and most are out of town. We have just accepted that some people we thought would for sure would be there might not be willing to make the trip. Too many unknowns with post-poning further!

Got married on our original day 2 days ago and planning forward with the the big fiasco in September. I have about 20% more of the wedding left to plan. All of the essential wedding stuff is booked. Just small details that I could really go without.
