Has anyone had a gelato or ice cream bar at their wedding? Was it worth the money, or were your guests not that into it?

It depends on the place for me. I am getting quoted anything from $50-75 per pan + taxes + fees to $6-8/person depending on the ice cream/gelato type. It seems like the smaller mom and pop shops are doing pricing per pan and the bigger companies do a flat rate per person. Since I am having a smaller wedding, the price per pan is a better deal so that I can keep the leftover gelato and my guests can go up for seconds with the extras. When the larger companies price per person, they throw away the leftovers and do not allow seconds.

Thank you. That was an eye opener. Are yall also in Texas? We are in Houston, so I don't know if those prices would apply here

My fiancé and I live in Chicago, IL, but are having our wedding in Milwaukee, WI. Their prices are just below national average on most things if you are trying to compare.

I want to do the same thing! I don't like cake and my FH and I always order from a local ice cream shop down the street on UberEats (yes we are too lazy to go get it hahaha). It's kind of our "thing", we both looove ice cream.

BUT my question is...do you have to have an "ice cream bar" with toppings? Or could you just do a few cool flavors?
