Games ideas for the reception

Dose anyone have any fun newlyweds games they can recommend during the reception. For the married ones were there any games u played that was entertaining to the crowds. For those not married yet what ideas do you have planned? The only thing I can think of is the shoe game. Thnks

Please no games. If you have games, many people will just go to the bar. Do not combine shoe game with consumption pricing for bar.

We are doing a short shoe game at ours, but that's it! Our DJ does it all the time and it's a big hit. I agree too many or too long games can become annoying.

If I'm being honest, I'm not a fan of games at receptions!

I know this doesn't answer your question, but as a guest I'd prefer them to be short, uncomplicated, and with prizes! haha

Games at a wedding reception just simply do not appeal to me

Not really a game.. But if you're looking for something the guest can participate in doing, I saw an ad of a list of things you can have your guest do at your wedding in a wedding magazine, one of those things included leaving little note cards on all the tables and letting each guest fill one out (if they choose to) with something funny or just personal thoughts and congrats to the bride and groom. And just have a card holder or box next to the stack for the completed cards...other than a bouquet and garter toss which is not as popular anymore, I don't see games at a wedding nor would participate as a guest. (not my thing).

I think games should stay at showers and not at a wedding; even at showers I don't like to play them lol

I think games are okay as long as they don't stop the DJ, food or alcohol, like cornhole. I don't like when games stop the whole party!

The only games I like at weddings are things I can do at my leisure, like an adlib while I wait for food to be served or a couple questionnaire. Stuff like that. But even then, only some people would be interested.

YOU KNOW, you could do what I'm doing and rent old school arcade games.
