Is anyone having their precious little fur babies in their wedding! My two and a half year old norwegian elkhound Milo is going to be flower boy/ring bearer. The venue I've found allows animals due to the fact it's a nature reserve!
I would love to have our boys, but our venue doesn't allow pets outside of service animals. Instead we're incorporating them into our centerpieces. Each of our tables has a card stating that we'll be making donations in lieu of favors. Three of the ten tables are for the rescues in which we adopted from.
We're going to have our dog come for photos, but he won't be involved in the ceremony. I would never want to put him through that stress. Even the most well behaved dogs can act out in social situations. A friend of mine has an extremely well trained golden retreiver who freaked out and peed on someone's shoes while walking down the aisle. That was enough for me to nix that idea lol.
Eh, I get it, but I'm not worried. I feel like if he can't handle it I'll bring him home, but really I would rather go home and be there with him than be at my wedding if it came down to that. My FH would totally agree.
Omg he's precious! We are having our one dog in the wedding be the ring bearer as well, escorted by his favorite person (grandpop- FH's dad), since that was always our plan. We are getting a puppy next week that wasn't in the cards originally but we thought she'd be fine with still getting acclimated by being at home. It's gonna be enough to handle practicing with our dog now. No guarantees he's gonna walk nicely down the aisle on leash, but I am fine with that he's my goofball
Our puppy is a little too rambunctious to have at the wedding (he would make wayyyy to many friends while walking down the aisle haha) but I LOVE when people incorporate their fur babies! Wish we could! I'll definitely have him somehow represented in the wedding (was thinking of getting cute cocktail napkins with his face on them and a embroidered pocket square with his outline on it for my fiance!)
We are having our dogs there to be part of the ceremony. They will be walked down the aisle right before me by one of my friends. They will stay for some pictures and then leave. I got them new leashes with matching collar and bow ties.
