Funny wedding vows

That is so funny ahahah these are from my actual vows:


“I will make it my Mission to make you happy, my duty to always try to understand you, to give you my best effort and always love you no matter what - even when you think superman is better than Batman - Batman is the best let’s just get that straight. but because I love and respect you I will value your opinions, however wrong they may be, because you will learn the wife is always right”

That's great! I am going to put this in my vows, " I vow to love you even if it takes you 5 to 7 business days to finally take out the trash."

I found this on Pinterest and while I wrote my own vows I’m really considering revising this to fit us a little more using these. We have afternoon tea together but otherwise they’re pretty spot on lol.

Lucky for me our honeymoon in Mexico...land of awesome tacos. Mmmmm I cannot wait to have authentic fish tacos.

In our vows, we both joked about the time we went to go grocery shopping and I ended up adopting two cats instead of getting groceries (I already had 2 at home). :-D (we both wrote our own vows and did not share them before the ceremony, so this was entirely coincidental and unplanned, as well as being a long running joke between us).

I also joked about him being my instigator of "Sheehanigans" because his last name is Sheehan, we both enjoy wordplay/puns, and well - he's a very playful, silly person in general so he instigates a lot of silliness (which I love about him).

Just be careful with poking fun in vows. I read a suggestion in an article that any teasing along these lines should be more self-deprecation rather than poking fun at your partner's shortfalls, which makes sense to me. And any teasing should be light-hearted, not putting yourself or anyone else down which, believe it or not, I have heard in wedding vows before. :-/ That's awkward.

Like in mine, I made fun of myself not being able to come home from grocery shopping without new cats, and he joked that one day he was going to come home from grocery shopping with two puppies.

I think your line sounds ok in general, but be careful how you say it because it could easily come out in a not nice/funny way.

Im including in my vows one funny line “i promise to always green you with a hug and kiss when you come home, even when you smell like fish cuz you went fishing all day” lol everyone knows he likes fishing.
