What are the most romantic, wild, weird or wonderful places you've heard of people popping the question? What about your proposal? Mine was a surprise destination! I had no idea. None. My hubby is quite the trickster and planned spontaneous trips before. He wanted a day trip for his b-day. Great....

Mine was a surprise destination! I had no idea. None. My hubby is quite the trickster and planned spontaneous trips before. He wanted a day trip for his b-day. Great. Then he wanted to spend the night (we hadn't had a vaca in a year). Yay. The day-of he told me to take out liquids, we were getting on a plane. Wait, what? We deplaned, drove a car to... Scottsdale, AZ. WOW. When the gorgeous Omni upgraded us to a freakin' villa I thought it was his b-day karma!!! After dinner there he convinced me to walk over to a fireplace to sit and relax (I was complaining my shoes hurt--lol). He proposed by the fireplace. Stunned, I said "YES!"

Oh my gosh, those arched windows and building style seems kinda Disney "Fantasyland." It's perfect for a Disney-inspired wedding.

Thank you, he is so creative!! It was pretty funny, too. We were upstairs and he wanted me to take a picture of the view. Well, the view was mostly construction, so I was like, oooo-kay, I guess I can take a picture. So he asks me again if I got a good picture of the view, and I replied that yes, I got a picture of the view, and he said, no, I meant this view. I turn around, and there he is on one knee with a little ring box. Smiley heart

I have been with Michael for over 4 years now. When we first started dating, it was never supposed to be forever. I am 3-times divorced and he's a confirmed bachelor. No way were we ever getting married. I have been forever teasing him that he needs to marry me before I retire which is coming way too soon! I am 9 years older than him, for reference. We are so good together, that I never want it to end. I have accidentally called him my husband many times. His last boss even thought we were married, and he never corrected him. LOL

I saw engagement rings on sale, and on a whim sent him the pictures...and he he sent me a text and told me to pick one out. I asked if he was serious, and he was! That's how it happened, so he never asked, but I will never forget it. That was in June and we are getting married May 17, 2020. That day is significant, because it's the 5th anniversary of our first date.
