Frustrated already....

I'm already frustrated with planning by being quoted one price for a venue, then touring and every time the price miraculously jumps up thousands of dollars. I wanted to elope, but FH won't have it, and won't increase our budget.

    I got very lucky with my date. I also knew exactly when I wanted to get married. Thankfully it all worked out.

    Hopefully it will for you too.

    People are trying to be kind and give you advice--you don't need to be rude to them

    I cried over venue shopping. My mom and I literally called over 50 places to get detailed quotes, toured about 25 places, but I found one finally!

    Set your budget, set your priorities (outside ceremony? Dancing till 2am? Bring your own venues), then be prepared to compromise on things that don't affect guest comfort and aren't high priority.

    Check out state parks and community centers, historical halls and local gardens. You'll find something!
