Happy friday all, Have any of you ever flight with frontier Airlines? I see they have some cheap prices. We are traveling in the states so it would be like a 4hour flight. I haven't booked yet, I wanted to get some reviews from any first-hand experience. Thank you!

The reason they have cheap seats is because they don't include anything in that price no snacks or meals you have to pay for it all seperately. They have an undercover boss episode

    Thank you all,

well I usually don't eat anything in the plane, I would just wait till I get to my destination to eat, but

what really matters is safety lol. if its cheap because they skip safety instructions I would just pay extra.

@Ms. B --> Mrs. L you got me there cause if that comes from a pilot that just gives me a lot to think about this airline. I think I will see my other options instead.

I see some of you said they usually late, that is one thing I want to avoid I really hate to spend a whole day because of delays.

In addition to what others posted, their mobile app SUX. No electronic boarding passes, everyone gets paper.

I've flown them a few times - will only do so again if in desperate straits. I fly United or Delta (United preferred).

I fly frontier all the time. They are not the most amazing planes ever but it will get you there and back. Check fees for carry on and checked bags though. The money you save on the ticket can add up if you have a lot of baggage

I've used Frontier plenty of times. It's a good airline for getting you from A to B. There's no luxuries and anything, just the flight really.

Frontier was fine to fly on. It got me from point A to point B, which is all I care about on a domestic flight. However, they do charge for luggage. So, after the extra charges, what I paid was pretty similar to any other airline.

Flown once our return flight was cancelled and we had to drive 12 hours. But the flight down was fine.

Just flew them this past weekend. It was a short-ish flight, just under 2 hours. Base ticket price was cheap but after adding baggage, seat upgrades, and a checked back we didn't even use, it came pretty close to what we would have paid on Delta. Used the app though to check in and for security/boarding with no issues.

I hate frontier! I'm a pretty space conscious traveler but being only given a "personal item" is insane for anything more than a one day trip. They charge for everything! You have to pay for a carry-on bag/overhead space. I really hate that and would prefer to just book a slightly more expensive flight and do my typical 1 carry on 1 personal item.

I'd definitely look into baggage prices on Frontier and add that to the flight prices you're seeing and compare to other airlines. I didn't realize Frontier charged $35 FREAKING DOLLARS per way just to carry on a bag and booked a trip in October thinking I was getting a deal. Now that I know that, and will be spending an extra $70, I could've booked a flight on American or Delta for cheaper.

Live and learn, OP. At this point, I think I'm just going to stick with the major airlines from here on out.

Another thing - due to Frontier being a smaller airline company, they don't have as many flights going per day as the major airlines do. A week after I booked my October trip, I got an email from Frontier saying my flight info had changed. I looked and they changed the timing of my connection flight, which went from an hour to 11 hours. I was like, are they fucking kidding me? I called and they said that was literally the only flight from Denver to Phoenix that day, so if unless I wanted to leave Orlando on a different day, I was stuck with an 11-hour layover. They did give me a voucher for $100 which was nice (except it can't be used on luggage ugh), but after all this hassle and luggage fees I don't want to fly them again.

So just keep stuff like this in mind.

It's cheap and you get what you pay for. It'll get you to your destination, but it's pretty trashy

My friend just sat in the airport with a four hour delay with Frontier. This was two days ago! Also, they have a really bad reputation with the people that work for them, here in Denver anyways.

I don't mind them. Just small plane/tight space but for the price I don't care. I flew with my 4 year old and infant in lap. Edit: I flew from dallas to Denver and back

I flew with frontier in April and it was the worst experience ever... I was traveling from MI to OR with a layover in Denver with just my FFIL and we had a delay out of Detroit (pretty normal and I can deal with that) but I kept getting delayed to the point that we were going to miss our connection along with 2/3 of other passengers going on to Portland and they were not going to hold the flight and pretty much told us we'll have to figure it out when we got in to Denver. Long story short we ended up having to stay in Denver and not leave for almost another 24 hours. They were supposed to give each of us our own room and when we got to the hotel they only had one room for us. So I ended up sharing a room with my FFIL. It was an ultimate nightmare, we ended up waiting for two hours in Denver for our bags, never given money for food, cab etc. it was AWFUL. I always fly southwest (except for this once when we booked on orbitz and got stuck on frontier), they're inexpensive and don't charge for bags or stupid other fees.

My fiancé flew from D.C. to Florida once and he said it was the worst flight ever. He said the seats are super tiny and uncomfortable. He said there's like no padding on them that they're like a stiff board. I was the one who bought his ticket and when he called me after he landed he said don't ever buy Frontier ever again.

I would only use them for a flight that is no longer than 1.5 hours and weekend getaways. Past that im hungry and thirsty. Take a bookbag and you wont get charged for anything, but you have to pack all of your clothes in there

I've flown with Frontier twice. The seats are uncomfortable but apart from that, I had no issues and would definitely fly with them again
