Is anybody else feeling like they are EXTRA like myself. We are so close to our date and had basically everything lined up so when things changed and we were forced to postpone or have a small intimate wedding we chose the intimate wedding. The thing is as we planned the MINI wedding, I was like well I still need flowers, we still need food, I still obviously want photography, but I also want videography, the BM should wear their dresses, shouldn't the guys wear their suits, etc.. My FH was like well its the "whole wedding still then" and I basically said well because this is "OUR WEDDING" I didn't want these extras because we had 100 guests but because I want our day to be perfect.

Even if we have a later reception, that is really just a party. Anyways my FH has come around and we may not have a later big reception anymore (yet to be determined).

Is anyone else feeling like this, I catch myself and think "maybe we don't need the entry table w hanging lights, or the DIY'd photo booth, but alternatively if we already have everything ready --wont cost anything extra-- should we just go forward with all details?

THOUGHTS please......

That is what we did!! We had a backyard wedding on Sept 12. We still had photo, video, decorated arch, all the flowers we were going to have (all faux like originally planned, and now we can reuse them!!) the same decor, great catering, cake, we bought a ton of alcohol and had that in ice buckets, beautiful linens, magical lights, my same dress. It was the full experience, just with 30 people instead of 300! It’s your wedding and you should make it as magical as you want - just because you’ve downsized your guest list doesn’t mean you need to downsize your elegance! We are also having a big reception when we can, and we’ll go full out with the flowers and decor (because I had already bought enough decor for 30 tables haha) but we likely won’t do as extravagant catering or other vendor packages.

Go for it! We had pretty much everything we had originally planned (and will have next year/eventually) and it was perfect!

When you do everything legally (marriage license, vows, etc) that IS your wedding. So do whatever makes you happy within your budget because it's a one day event.

For our minimony our bridal party we're guests it was just my husband and I standing up front. My family cooked dinner, & no parent dances. We did our first dance, we had a photographer, we decorated etc.

For our big wedding in March, that's what our bridal party will be a part of, where we will have the parent dances and a videographer. That's also where I will wear my big wedding dress.
Our minimony was only 30 of our closest family and friends but the big wedding will be 100+ if allowed
