Friend who always runs late

I have a friend that regularly runs late. I'm supposed to be meeting her for lunch today because she wanted to see me before next week and so I'm here. Thought she'd be on time when I confirmed at noon to see her in a hour but no. It's 1:14 now and I'm sitting here waiting. She runs at least a half-hour late. Should I approach my wedding next week with her like blatantly ask her hey are you going to be there on time? Or what would you do in this situation because I mean now I'm worried if she's going to be late or not for next week and that is rude. My ceremony is at 3pm with reception to follow. The drive is about 40 mins from us.

I'd say something along the lines of "it's very important to me that you be at the venue by xx:xx time for the wedding, if it helps, please set a reminder on your phone for half an hour before the actual time."

I wouldn't say anything now but no one is coming into my wedding after the procession starts. Doors will be closed until cocktail hour begins. I was in a friends outdoor wedding at a golf course and this guy started running in front of the bride to get to his seat. It was so ridiculous.

I would talk to her If she is in the wedding and maybe I would tell her an earlier time.

My sister's BM was an hour late for getting hair done. We now tell her an earlier time for all family events

Being on time is a big thing with FH (leftover from the military perhaps?). I have a few relatives that think nothing of being 30-60 minutes late for everything. One is my niece that's my MOH...she's decided to stay with me in the hotel the night before the wedding....whew!

When I was dating, I had a 10 minute rule...if the date was late & hadn't called after 10 minutes to say where they were/on their way, etc...I was outta there n meeting up with friends instead :o

We will no doubt have late guests to our wedding....can't do much about it.

I had a friend like that, always an hour late. I got to the point that if I wanted to meet her at 1, I would tell her to meet me at noon. I would show up at 1 and only had to wait a few mjnutes. Worked for years, for lunches, parties, etc.

I had a friend that was 2 hours late to her own birthday dinner (that she planned and set the time for). Even after hearing that people were at the restaurant waiting, she went to a friend's house to change and continue getting ready. This was the final straw for me, as she's done this several times and it shows she doesn't respect people enough to be on time. If your friend isn't in the wedding, I wouldn't say anything and would just make her wait if she arrives after the ceremony starts. I have the same concern with my sister, and that's how I plan to handle it.
