Four Weddings - what not to do

Omg, I saw one that they ran out of food. And they couldn't eat the cupcakes because they were for the bride. Like wtf.

Please tell me ya'll have seen the one with the evening wedding at which there was only sweets - the guest brides went out in the parking lot and ordered delivery pizza

I thought that said pizza and poop!!! LOL!

@Dreamer yes I love tacos, but the weddings Ive gone to were missing fixings for the taco bar so they were lackluster for me

We were invited to a wedding in New Mexico, across the country from us! We ended up not attending because the expense. I later saw pics with pizza boxes and red solo cups. If we went I would have lost my shit, lol.

I had never seen this show but have set the recorder for upcoming epidides

My mother in law has told this story countless times. Her cousin was getting married later in life and he was an established physician. Their reception was to be held at a country club, too, so she and her mother decided the guest hosting would be worth it to fly halfway across the country to attend.

Their only food was a taco bar.

P.S. We've paid to fly to two weddings, in the U.S., and they had minimal guest hosting. We couldn't wait to leave and get something to eat. Between the gift, flights, hotel, rental car, etc. it cost us thousands, and we had to buy our supper.

See, for some reason I have a problem with people judging other people's weddings. If someone wants to have pizza and coke-let them be. It's their wedding. I don't like the comments that say, "it's fine for a party, but not a wedding." You should not go overboard for your wedding financially to keep up appearances

@Becky Yes! That one was insane! They were outside sitting on the curb eating pizza in their nice dresses. SMH!

I've been to 2 very well done taco bar weddings. No hate here.

@Cassidy, I haven't seen the episode, but it sounds like the issue is that it was a very nice venue, but then they didn't go to any effort to serve nice food. If you're having a backyard wedding, sure, more casual food like pizza might work. Also personally I feel like just pizza and soda isn't much to offer you guests who may have traveled a long ways, taken time off work, etc. to attend your wedding. At LEAST have some salad and breadsticks or something as well, and make sure the pizza is hot and presented nicely!

I saw that one, too! I felt bad for the one bride as her dress was made by a friend and it fit poorly. The venue was great but pizza and pop? No ice? Hmmm.....no thanks!

I do 100 percent agree however and think that if you're going to do pizza- you have to dress it up and execute it correctly. You need to have gourmet pizza and many many beverages- not coke in a liter bottle.

I saw that one too. And she sing while she was walking down the aisle. She had a gorgeous voice but it's still so cringey to me. Ugh it's Your wedding not a talent show.
