Four months since wedding-still no pictures. What to do now?

Arianna, on February 19, 2020 at 1:35 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
It has been almost 4 months (15 weeks) since our wedding and our photographer still has not sent us the pictures. We paid for an extra hour and didn’t even use it at the wedding since our guests didn’t stay as long as anticipated.
We have received a sneak peek but haven’t heard back from the photographer in almost 2 months. We have called, texted, and Facebook messaged.
I’m not sure where to go from here. At this point we want something added to our package. This is so long to wait, we paid extra money, and haven’t even gotten a response.

What does your contract say about turnaround time?

Do they have a facebook page where they are posting other clients photos? That's really frustrating. I've heard about 2 months is the average but four seems insane.

Yes, lots of family and holiday photos are being posted. But won’t reply to us about our photos.

I'd check your contract and confirm. Then if that time has passed, send another email, text and call her stating you are past your contracted date for returning photos & you need an update on your pictures before taking legal action.

Do they have a Twitter account? You could try tagging them there with your concerns and see if that helps get a response. Sometimes calling people out helps. If that doesn't help, I would send 1 more message stating that if you do not here from them by x date, you will be contacting a lawyer.

I would threaten legal action at this point. Reiterate to them what your contract states, specify how far you are past that date, then give them a new due date and let them know that if you don’t receive your gallery by then, you will content a lawyer.

I agree with threatening to take legal actions, only after rechecking the contract of course. These are precious memories and it’s not right for them to not respond. They could at least explain why they are taking longer than expected rather than just ignoring you. I’m so sorry, this must be so frustrating
