Found the song to walk down the aisle to...but i have a question??

OG FMP, on December 19, 2014 at 9:35 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

I will be walking down the aisle to Sade "By Your Side"

I love the words to this song - This song i dedicated to my FH BUT, should I have my BP also walk using the same song or should I have a different song for them?

It depends on how much of the song you want played, and how long it takes for everyone to get down the aisle.

My bridesmaids are walking down to the same song because if it's just playing for me, there won't be enough song played. I love the song I chose and I want to have everyone hear as much of it as possible

One of my favorite moments of my entire day was when MY song came on and I knew it was time for me and my stepdad to walk down the aisle. It was one of the most memorable and emotional moments for me. I would highly recommend having your own special song and having the bridesmaids walk to something else.

I agree, Staci. Music played and it was nice. But then it stopped. There was a moment where there was no music. And then when my mom and I walked down the aisle MY music started. It was special.

I'll probably have my BMs walk down to 1 plus 1 by Beyonce - Me definitely to Sade and on the way out to Happy by Pharrell.

I am walking down to the opening theme from forrest gump....as is my BP. However, there is a part where the song gets more detailed, and numerous instruments join in....that is the part when I will be walking down. Prior to that, it is only a piano and violin.

I'm doing it a bit differently. My BM's will walk down with their attendants (GM) to Celtic Woman's "The Call" then my FH and his mom will walk together to either Guns N Roses "Sweet Child of Mine" or "You'll Be in My Heart" haven't decided on the cover yet. I have like eight. Then it will be me and my dad to "Beauty and the Beast", the Celine Dion/Pebo Bryson duet version. The recessional will be a mashup of the goofy, upbeat Disney stuff ie: The Monkey Song from The Jungle Book and maybe Kiss the Girl from Mermaid.

I have a great love of all things Disney so there will be a lot of Disney incorporated into the wedding.

I had a separate song...I thought it was really special...I honestly don't even have a clue as to when they cut it off or anything. I don't really remember lol. I guess I'll have to wait for the video to see!

Do whatever you want. I had my groomsmen and my groom and his parents and my mom all walk in to a song I picked for him. And then I walked in with all my bridesmaids and flower girls to another song. It let them be long enough to really get into the song versus just being a verse.
