Found a great venue that doesn't have the tables and chairs

Guest book table? Table for place cards? Can't think of any others.

Could the photographer use a table; is there a bar set up?

I am guessing you are renting separate chairs for the ceremony and the reception.

You say you have 85 guest attending, is the ceremony at the same venue?

Are you including the Wedding Party and yourselves in the 85 count?

You are just planning a sweetheart table and the rest of the Wedding party will be at the guest tables?

If the guest count is 85 total then if you are seating 10 to a table you will need 9-72in rounds (assuming you are using rounds)

You will need to rent 170 chairs (not sure how many highchairs you need but always best to get chairs also.

you will need at least:

2 to 3 buffet tables (6-8ft)

1 Cake table (45-60in round)

1 Gift table (6ft)

1 guest book table (small)

1 DJ/MC Table (6ft)

1 Sweetheart Table (45-60in)

2-3 6ft long tables if doing bar (make a square leave open in the back)

9- 72in Rounds

170 Chairs

Yes the 85 included us and the wedding party. And I would be having both at the same place. The chair total is short due to that I know several of the invited children are lap sitters for the ceremony. We have at least 3 brand new babies in the families by the end of the year and another due before the ceremony.

@ Nora thats a great overview. I am not planning a bar since we are not having achohol at the wedding. Should I add at least one table for what we decide for drinks? Most likely sun teas, lemonades, and bottled waters. Instead of the 3 for the bar.

Before you calculate chairs per table you need to verify the size of the tables. Most rental places will also help you with sketching out where the tables will go so you can make sure there's enough room.

they also may have special bar tables which are higher but either way you should ask. for 85 guests I'd figure one bar area regardless of alcohol. and a back bar area, unless it's self-service.

Ask the rental place for their input, too. They may know the venue and have some insight.

Thanks, Kathy but I found more local rentals with better prices. And I have heard really good reviews about them.
