Where did you find the best bra? Any place other than the bridal store? I'm gonna go hunting this weekend and wanted some suggestions

What is a long line bra??? I am so screwed. I have no idea what I need. I think I might be able to get away with nothing. This picture is me with no shapewear or bra. I think I might be able to get away with neither because of the way the dress is..

@ Kathryn - We were almost dress twins! That's a beautiful dress. You definitely don't need to wear any shapewear.

I used to work at DB in alterations. Sewing in cups is kinda pointless. They don't give support, and at best they keep it from showing if you're nipping. If you need the support, its best to have a structured dress where you can choose to go with or without, or to bite the bullet and purchase the correct foundations.

May i recommend boob tape with or without cups sewn in. i have to wear fancy gowns once a year and whether or not there are cups or a bra present i swear by boob tape....keeps the girls in place with no shifting or wardrobe malfunctions all night long, sweat or not. seriously, get some

No cups sewn in but there's enough boning in the top to support me not having to wear a bra at all and I'm a D! I think it'll really depend on your dress and seamstress. I probably wouldn't even go to the first fitting with one honestly. Let her tell you where to get one and if you'll need one. You may even be able to buy one from the seamstress...or it may be included. Mine actually said she includes a bra in the price of alterations if you need one and she has them in stock in her shop.

I happened to find out, in my size and apparently in new condition, at the Salvation Army. But I don't think you can count on that one!

NotFroofy found a Le Mystere Bridal Seduction Bustier Bra on eBay. Le Mystere gets lots of great reviews, and the place allowed for returns if it didn't fit, so it seemed like a good risk.

@Kathryn: A longline bra is one that covers your midsection and rests on your hips. They are designed to work with a strapless dress, because the support comes up from the hips, instead of down from the straps. Below is a picture. The garter straps are removable.
