Food tasting

Depends on the venue. My venue offered free tastings before booking. We toured the facility first and loved it then reached out to schedule a tasting. We came back sampled apps and entrees and loved the food as well and ended up booking that day. We will go back for a cake tasting as well as a cake is also included. I would not book a venue that has in house catering without tasting the food first.

Yes, stephanie i want to know my venue serves quality food. I don't want to book a venue and not know what the food is. I want my guests to be impressed with everyone. What should should i look for when viewing venues?

I would advise when viewing venues, or before viewing, asking the venues coordinator if a tasting can be arranged before booking as the quality of the food is a very important factor for you and your FS.

As Stephanie said, it would really depend on the venue and if this is something they offer before booking.

Our caterer doesn't work for our venue. I'd say you would have to taste the food after you booked? But I'm not 100% sure.
