Food ideas?

Marissa, on August 21, 2020 at 7:01 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Just scheduled an appointment to meet with my venue this weekend to discuss the food/dinner options! My venue is a restaurant and the owner said she can pretty much cook anything. I need ideas! All I can think of is Italian, chicken, or steak. What did you all serve at your wedding? Anything unique?

I would say depends on what style you want. Have a vegetarian option just in case. I would ask her to offer some suggestions. I am all about pasta and beef ha ha. Also are you going to have some passed appetizers?

Thanks for the comment! Haha, yeah pasta and beef are always my favorite. Probably won't do any passed appetizers though. What kinds of foods are you doing?

What kind of restaurant is it? I’d probably stick to what they are known for as that will be what they do best.

What do they normally fix? Most restaurants stick to one type of cuisine and don't venture outside of that.

Well it is a minimony so we are taking out friends out for dinner afterwards to a rooftop bar (as long as things stay open) and I was going to pre order some flatbreads and let them choose from fish & chips, chicken sandwich, fish tacos and I was also going to order like some nachos and something else plus some cocktails. It is kind of american fare mostly. I feel Italian is a cheap and safe way and if something you both love then I would. Smiley smile

My pick would be breakfast options. I love breakfadt and it's usually cheaper than dinner foods.

We had prime rib (huge success) and vegetarian gnocchi (yummy) as our non-chicken options. If it's at a restaurant I'd want some of their specials! What are they known for?

We did "swanky tacos" as our main course. We developed them with the chef and they were a big hit!

Yum! All that sounds good! The restaurant isn't known for anything in particular. They cook pretty much anything haha. So we decided to go with tri-tip, garlic mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, with a salad, and artisan bread and butter! That should fill up my guests haha.
