Food help

Lauren, on February 24, 2022 at 10:42 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 3 2

I’m getting married in June, small wedding of about 20-25 people (half are children). The wedding will be at 1, food served around 2.

I received a call from my venue’s required caterer yesterday that they can no longer cater my event and I should seek an outside caterer. They were to provide all linens, silverware, plates, glassware, as well as servers and cake cutting and a full meal for approximately $350. My issue now is finding a new place since I had locked in this amount as a budget.
Would you:
Have a full meal delivered with no servers using the fancier chinet? And ask someone attending the wedding to cut and serve the cake?
Switch it up to finger foods? Still not requiring any servers?
Other options I’m not thinking of?

I would have a meal delivered! On Efavormart they have really nice looking plastic utensils and plates that look almost like the real deal. For the cake, I am sure someone will step in and help cut it if you ask them beforehand. Smiley smile

I am so sorry this is happening to you. I would reach out the venue to see if they have any other required catering services. I only say this because you don't want to book someone the venue won't allow you use.
I am not sure where you are getting married, we attended an event a few weeks ago. They catered The Olive garden. The restaurant provided serving utensils as well as silverware and plates.
