Hi all, we're trying to figure out food for when the bridal party and I are getting ready. We're all staying at the b&b where the wedding is taking place and we will all be having breakfast at the inn together before we start getting ready. The wedding is at 5pm and the photographer needs us fully set and ready for pics by 2pm. So we're obviously getting ready between breakfast and 2pm. Should we have lunch or drinks provided for those few hours? FH and I have been in a total of 10 weddings and none of them served anything other than bagels or breakfast and coffee in the bridal suite. Did you provide alcoholic drinks (if so, what) or lunch in addition to breakfast?

My wedding doesn't start til 7, so I think we'll start getting ready after lunch. Still need to check with photographer and venue where I'm getting ready to make the day-of schedule. Planning on having snacks (fruit, veggies, nuts, etc.), water, and maybe a few bottles of bubbly. I also want to surprise FH and his GM with snacks in the hotel room where the guys are getting ready.

I'm going to have Costco muffins and bagels for the girls while getting ready. I'll provide something for them for lunch as well. For the guys we don't really need them until about 1 so I haven't planned on getting them anything. Maybe FH will figure something out for them

I brought in trays of wraps, fruits, veggies, cheese and meats for lunch. We had juice, pop and water. Plus we had wine and a bottle of ice wine I had been saving for the daySmiley smile

The guys went out for brunch and then had sandwiches brought in. Plus beer.

We had kind of brunch food I guess? I needed the girls to come to the room by 10am so I had a bit of a variety for us to munch on throughout the day - muffins, fruit, juice, champagne, water for breakfast and then for lunch we had chicken salad, croissants, cheese and crackers, spinach artichoke dip with pita chips and cookies. I didn't want anyone getting hungry! Smiley smile

Good thread! I have to say out of the many many weddings I've been a BM in, this is the most forgotten piece of the puzzle. Or, if they remember, it is generally just bagels...which I don't know about you guys, but bagels maybe last me an hour and then I am hangry again. Give me all the PROTEIN! Lol. So, breakfasty foods for breakfast (likely bagels but also some eggs and sausage) and then for sure getting them lunch as well, planning on getting Potbelly catered. And champagne and beer. I love the idea of the scotch shot! I wish I could shotgun a beer, but that would likely get alllll over me.

I'll be having bagels, cream cheese, lox, eggs, bacon, coffee and mimosas to start the day, and I haven't figured out what to have for lunch yet, but thinking appetizers and finger foods.

Thanks for reminding me to get FH a huge amount of food so his GM's aren't wasted by the time the ceremony rolls around.

The breakfast at our b&b is kind of a big deal and its about eggs benedicts and tons of proteins but they will also have things like muffins. So for lunch I'm thinking mimosas and beer for the guys. Also liking the sandwich tray suggestions and maybe a large salad or fruits. Thanks!

We're not all getting ready together other than getting dressed more than likely. The girls will be getting their hair and make up done at other places or doing it themselves. However, I will have something in the way of breakfast pastries or something easy to snack on in the bridal suite so if anyone gets hungry or thirsty during pictures or at any point before the ceremony begins.

Our ceremony is earlier (11:30a) but we are serving them pastries and morning drinks.

I am going to get a fruit tray, chicken nugget tray from chic-fil-a, water and champagne.
