I wish I could DIY flowers, but that’s too much stress for me. I personally would rather pay to have it professionally done.

We are doing all of our flower arrangements. We actually went with faux foam flowers from Ling’s Moment and they’re great! We can put them together well in advance and not have to worry about scrambling day of.

If you have the time and energy and some good friend(s) to help out then I don’t see anything wrong with doing it yourself. Plus I think the finish product will mean more to you.

But I do agree with others that looking at wholesale flower shops first.

I wish but it’s one less experience on my list to worry about. I don’t need flowers for tables or anything I am creating my own center pieces so I figured might as well keep on creating and hope it all comes out like I’m picturing in my head

So far my plan is to do it myself. I’ll be either using Kroger or Sam’s club maybe even a mixture of both. Sam’s for the white roses and Kroger for color roses since I won’t want as many of those

I went to a wedding once where instead of ordering a ton of flowers, the bride ordered one big display basket and pulled out flowers for a small bouquet for her, a flower to pin to the groom's lapel, a small bouquet/lapel pin piece for each of the bridal party, and then the table flowers to boot (they were in mason jars, so small, but still pretty)! There were even flowers enough left over in the big basket that they had it on the podium where they stood to say vows.

She did all of this on the day of. I thought it was very clever.

Personally, I'm using fake flowers and self-assembling, for all bouquets and such. Smiley smile

If you’re making them yourself without any help, I’d suggest using silk flowers if you’re okay with it. Flowers don’t last forever, and you’ll be so busy in the week leading up to your wedding! Good luck, though!

I’m going to be doing FiftyFlowers. Although I’ve opted for their pre-arranged Bouqs, centerpieces etc. instead of straight wholesale so that I won’t have any building to do—just taking care/watering etc.

For our flowers we’re doing callas almost exclusively which makes it easier. Cost is $650 for everything. Only logistic is figuring when/how to deliver since we are 16 hours from our wedding location.

Brilliant idea! Not only educational, but a great conversation starter for your guests.

I'm totally cutting a few thin branches off the tree in my backyard to put in my glass centerpieces.

wood "flowers" from hobby lobbyFlowers 1

My sister had her wedding at my family's ranch waaay out in the middle of nowhere. She didn't want to try to transport fresh flowers so she made the bouquets out of these wood "flowers" each pedal is shaved wood. She got them at hobby lobby. They were beautiful and fit her theme so well.

I did these for a bride - they include succulents which were also in all the buttonholes. After the wedding the succulents were saved and planted and are all growing well 😁 (groomsmen were provided with a small pot of potting mix) and it was stupidly cheap.

I YouTubes on how to make a bouquet, corsages and boutonnières for my daughters Quinceañera. They turned out beautiful. I’m debating wether I should do it for my own wedding. The stress was real for my daughters quinceañera. I want to say you can make them 3 days before the event and put them in a ziplock bag and spray some water in it and refrigerate them. The bouquet in a glass cup with water enough to cover up to the decorative liner.

I made my bouquet and a test bridesmaids bouquet. I'm planning a bouquet party and having all of my bridal girls come over so we cam hangout and work on bouquets so they can kind of personalize. Their bouquets will be like the one in the pictures (red and white) but they will get to customize their ribbon. I got all my floral at Hobby Lobby. I had bought mini bouquets and cut everything apart and combined what I wanted for the bridesmaids bouquets. Then mine I took apart a huge rose bush bouquet and then added other floral and leaves and rearranged everything to look like a bouquet.
