How many of you are going to be building your own bouquets for the wedding??? where are you purchasing your flowers from?

i found this wholesaler site called blooms by the box that has pretty much everything was thinking of doing that. i personally only need flowers for myself two bridesmaids the groom and two groomsmen. going to do single flowers for the mothers and grandparents.

i think i can be crafty enough to pull this off lol

We are DIYing ours as well! We purchased them from a local wholesale florist and will be assembling them 1 - 2 days before the wedding!

Just watch videos on it so you can get a feel for what you should be doing Smiley smile We're doing the corsages and bout's too.

I would also look for any wholesale flower shops in your city! I told some friends that I was thinking of just ordering flowers from costco, but they recommended a wholesale flower shop that they used for their wedding. More options than just roses!

There are youtube videos that show you how to creat bouquets, and I have also found tips on pinterest. Good luck!

Are these real flowers? They look great! Currently planning on DIYing mine and not sure if I should buy the real ones from the store or assemble ahead of time with fake flowers.

Yes they are real! Just from Kings (not sure where you’re from but that’s a chain grocery store where I live). My mom picked them up about 24 hours before the wedding and we wrapped them after the rehearsal lol. We kept them in water overnight but the mini fridge in my hotel suite broke (of course lol 🙄) so I was really nervous they wouldn’t look as good in the morning, but they were still perfect!

Here’s a couple photos where you can actually see the flowers better too.

Disclaimer also, my bouquet (the big one in the center) was done by a florist. I was so anxious about how the DIY ones would turn out that my mom just bought me my own bouquet from a florist to ease my stress about it haha, but if I had known how well the DIY ones would’ve turned out I would have done it for my own too

Haha, maybe a good idea to like order 1 bouquet’s worth of flowers a few months in advance so you can practice?

I'm actually growing flowers to use for our wedding. We'll use them for bridesmaids bouquets (although I still haven't decided it I'm having any) as well as simple centerpieces. Growing lavender, baby's breath, sweet pea, and snapdragons. I'll have a professional do my bouquet, his bout, and the altar

I'm going to attempt to build mine through Flower Moxie. They seem to be reasonably priced and have a great variety.

I was going to raid all the grocery store florals in the tri-state area, but that wholesale site sounds better! Florals are only going to be used for the wedding party; I am a foliage kind of gal.

I was also going to use houseplant cuttings in upcycled clear glass as center pieces. Im likely going to make a small sign next to each one explaining the science behind each propagation stage and the anatomy of the roots.

When it came to flowers, i just kind of thought, hm pretty, but not what i think would look nice. I settled on having bridesmaids carry lanterns, which i think even cost less bc then they will be the center pieces at the reception

Awe thats such a cool idea. You could write something about the anatomy of roots that is parallel to your love/marriage! That would be so cute! Like see if you can relate it back to the wedding

Thats a really good idea bc idk how many places sell aziatic lillies, and i really want those at my wedding. Come to think of it, they grow all around my dads house and are actually a nuisance. Maybe ill do us both a favor and take as many as possible.

We are doing this too! My mom, one of my bridesmaids, and I went to Hobby Lobby last week to get the flowers. Every other week they have a 50% off sale for flowers!
