So, our entire budget is $5000. I wanted a ton of flowers. I knew real flowers were totally out of range and thought instead I could supplement it be having lots of greenery. I'm set to start creating centerpieces, bouquets etc with faux flowers. I finally went to hobby lobby yesterday, and I dont...

Yes! And I have to say their customer service is also outstanding! They give you a suggested delivery date based off of the type of flower that you get and when your wedding day is and I accidentally picked the day before. They sent me a text message to inform me and asked me if I wanted to change my date to the preferred one that their farmers suggest. They’ve been super outstanding.

I got many eucalyptus from Michael’s about $4 with the 30% off when you sign up for alerts and texts. Look for sales. Also, I keep in mind that I will be making some money back too.

Word of advice, Joann’s is a nightmare. You can even see everyone’s angry comments on Facebook. Several orders I got would be delayed or cancelled just still shipped, it’s a huge headache. I recommend avoiding them.
Also, I got some flowers on amazon that are cheaper than in-store and actually better quality. You can always return them if they don’t turn out like you expected.

I made my bouquet from Walmart Roses. Maybe try the local grocery stores. Fake flowers go to dollar tree too.

With a 3 day weekend wedding, an overskirt, and false bangs, I get you. I’m a more-is-more type of bride too. 😉
I’m also on a budget, and what I’ve learned about wedding planning so far is that you allocate your budget on what you value. (Notice I didn’t mention top shelf liquor or a huge guest list when I was listing my wedding day splurges) For you, that’s flowers!
Have you chosen a venue yet? If you choose a garden venue that is already lush with blooms, you’ll be able to allocate the rest of your floral budget to some outstanding bouquets, centerpieces etc. Just be open to the idea that you might do your own makeup, offer only beer and wine, etc. Good luck!

Holly!!!! A bride after my own ❤. Our wedding is at a golf course, so beautiful setting.... BUT I need FLOWERS....lol...Thankfully we aren't paying for the venue. Yes, beer &wine (soft drinks, water, lemonade, tea). FH number one on his list was food, so I let him choose the caterer. So it's not my outrageous taste...lol, but delicious to the palatte.

I am an independent Mary Kay consultant so I am confident is doing my own makeup and hair.

Oh, I see 🙂 You’ll have a lot of beautiful greenery! Good luck with the florals! It looks like some other commenters on here have some great companies to check out.

Honestly, I wouldn't overlook the stuff HEB has. I ordered boutonnieres, my bridesmaid's bouquet, and MIL corsages from them. For my own bouquet I just had them order the flowers and I DIY'd the arrangement myself the day-of. They gave a lovely variety of flowers to green ratio for their packages.

I forget to take pics of the corsages but they were just as lovely Smiley smile

Thank you! My entire budget for my own wedding was also $5k, as well as being a Texas gal, so I felt you should know they can be an option!
