Flower Preservation

MrsV1027, on December 6, 2018 at 7:35 AM Posted in Married Life 1 28

My ring came in from getting my flowers preserved! I saw someone post about this company that takes your flowers and makes a stone for a ring or necklace. I knew since our wedding was in Vegas that it would be hard to get my flowers back home safely to dry them so this worked perfectly! We spent a few days with MIL after the wedding so I left my flowers with her and shipped a couple to the company to make a ring for me. I love looking at it every day Smiley smile

The ring used sunflowers and purple lizzies. the lighter petals are from the unbloomed purple lizzies

ps my hands look super wrinkly and old in this picture because my work has the DRIEST air ever. I need lotion lol

I love this idea! Do they give you a prepaid container to send the flowers to the company? I'd like to do this but we leave for the honeymoon the next day and will be away 7 days. Maybe a family member can mail them for me if it's prepaid.

They do not from what I could tell. They give you instructions on how to pack them to avoid them not being damage. You could always purchase a box that would fit the flowers and pack a test run and just not seal it and purchase the postage before you go. You don't have to ship it that same day. I've done this before Smiley smile We were lucky that we were staying with MIL and she has a post office close to her.

Oh snap! This is such an amazing idea! I wish I would have known about this 2 months ago... a necklace with some of the flowers & greenery from my bouquet would have been so gorgeous. Oh well haha Glad you have a beautiful ring full of memories to enjoy now Smiley smile

I'm going to do this! I was feeling sad about throwing them away, but I don't have room in my house to preserve and display them, and I already have a lot of things I'm planning to keep.

This is so cool! I searched and there's a few websites that do this. What business did you use? the pricing seems to fluctuate across the board and I want to make sure I have something of good quality without a high price.
