Flower Girl

Nope, not at all! The great thing about weddings is that you can include only what works for you, and there are many traditional elements that aren’t necessary for a wedding.

Children's roles, ring bearer, flower girl, page, bouquet holder and such, are an excuse to find something for a much loved child to do. They are totally unnecessary, easily done by attendants if you wish, or skipped.

I would say not at all! You don't want to try to find someone just out of desperation, per say. I would just go with the dog

We're not having a ring bearer or a flower girl for the same reason. I have one nephew and no nieces. Figured if I couldn't do both or wouldn't do either.

Definitely not needed. I've been to plenty of weddings that didn't have a flower girl and/or ring bearer.

Was having the same issue, so I am basically commenting a giant THANK YOU for asking this, because I wasn't sure if I could/should skip it! I might end up with a ring bearer, but we have to wait and see how things go with that, I'm gonna have his mom think it over, she's not sure he can handle it, but we have 18 months till the day, so we'll discuss it in a year. And if that doesn't work out I'm ordering a bowtie for the cat and taking some pics of him, so he can be our honorary ring bearer. Actually, I'll probably do that either way.

I don't think it is necessary, I don't plan on having a flower girl or ring bearer.
