How many of you are having your flower girl drop actual flower petals? I have it in the budget but I just saw an idea on pinterest (of course) to drop small paper hearts. It looked so cute and it will save $! Plus it's a VERY easy DIY. Has anyone seen something other than flower petals dropped? How...

Has anyone seen something other than flower petals dropped? How does it look? I've honestly never been to a wedding where it WASN'T flowers.

The cut out hearts is a very cute idea! I would have done that if I hadn't already decided on real flowers!

Our flower girls carried pinwheels, which worked well on the beach.

Our flower girl will be dropping dried lavender buds. It's less expensive and it goes great with our barn wedding.

That sounds like a cute idea if your venue will allow it. Ours wouldn't allow anyone to throw anything on the ground, so our flower girl carried a small bouquet similar to mine.

Our venue did not allow real flower petals, but my niece would have been very disappointed if we had left them out since she had already started practicing dropping the petals. So instead we used silk flower petals that I found for a great price on Etsy. They looked great!

I was thinking about my fg to carry a banner that says "here come the bride" or "daddy here comes mommy" because my daughter is one of the fg.
