Flower girl dress for Disney themed wedding

Stephanie, on July 19, 2020 at 10:44 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

Hello!

Wondering what are some cute ideas for a flower girl for a Disney (but not cheesy) themed Disney wedding. The bridesmaids will be wearing dusty blue, and our flower girl is 3 years old and LOVES Frozen's Elsa. We were thinking of having her wear one of the classic Elsa dresses, is that tacky? Not sure what color flower girls normally wear.

Thanks!

Most flower girls wear colors that match what the bride picks. I've never seen a flowergirl in white/ivory. Nothing inappropriate about your idea. Embrace going outside the box as long as your hospitality doesn't infringe on your guests' comfort.

I’d like to say I’m having a Disney “inspired” wedding... and I’m having a similar problem haha. Im having a problem determining how Disney is too Disney... me personally I want a more modern day princess than a costume but Ive seen both... I mean my flower girl is still going to wear a tiara 😂 anything goes its your day!

These are the dresses my flower girls will be wearing! We're having a fall themed wedding with touches of Disney throughout the wedding. Little details in my bouquet, the flower girl dresses, my shoes, our guestbook. I'm she excited to see it all come together! I'm obsessed with Disney, but couldn't commit to an entire Disney wedding (unless I got the chance to have a an official Disney Fairytale Wedding😂!)

I think it would be so fun for your flower girl to dress up like Elsa for the wedding. It's not tacky or cheesy. You're engaging the attention of a 3 year old, it's not always the easiest! She'll at least be excited for the pictures and such before she gets worn out/tired...which is totally a typical toddler conundrum Smiley winking

I love the idea of putting her in a big ol bedazzled down that isn't the Elsa costume but evokes the image of Elsa in her ice crystal dress from the second movie (or her blue one from the first). The flower girl will absolutely look like a Disney princess without it being cheesy. I love Chrysta's ideas

I’m doing a very understated Rapunzel wedding-changed the colors from hot pink and bright purple to mulberry and eggplant. But I have an almost three year old (literally 2 weeks before her birthday) and she wants to be Rapunzel so I bought her the Rapunzel dress. Kids are cute and it’s going to make her more excited to show everyone her Elsa dress 🤷🏽‍♀️

I just feel like the dusty blue for my bridesmaids doesn't go with the Elsa blue lol

I've been to over 40 weddings in my lifetime and I've never seen a flower girl NOT in white or ivory. That being said, you can put your flower girls in whatever you want, but I definitely think white/ivory is the norm

Thanks! I don't mind at all not following the norm. Makes the wedding WAY more interesting. Smiley smile
