Flower Girl and Ring Bearer...Where do they sit?

Laura, on February 27, 2010 at 6:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

I have a flower girl in the wedding who will be 6. Do I sit her at the head table with the bridal party, or sit her with her family? She is my FH neice, and I am also having her mom, my FSIL in the wedding. My reception site said that the kids always sit at the regular tables, but I thought she would be with us. I also thought about maybe having a seat for her at the head table where she can eat, then have a chair at the regular tables with her dad, baby sister, grandparents, etc. What do you think?

I think it is 100% up to you. If you have room for her at the head table and you think her mother will still be able to do her "duties" as BM and still help her daughter then I say go for it. It's your wedding, no rules apply. I will also say at 6 at the head table she will think she is the bees knees....

I would say that I would ask her mom. The head table is the center of attention all through dinner. Could she handle that and act accordingly. I personally think it would be easier on her and you if she sat with her father and grandparents. But like I said that is just me. We are having a sweatheart table even our children arn't sitting with us..
