I am planning for flowers now, and have no clue what to budget for it. I will need minimal for centerpieces as we already have lanterns, and I am not into fancy expensive flowers either. We are talking minimal here lol. Rose petals for aisle, and typical reception flowers. 7 bridesmaids, 6 grooms....

We are spending $1000 but I think we are getting a lot of flowers for that. Flowers for aisle decor, gazebo decor, on 28 tables with centerpieces, 19 boutonieers, 8 corsages, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, a bridal bouquet and flowers spread across the venue. We found ours on www.thumbtack.com, super good deal and very highly rated

@FutureMrsCrane mind if you tell me who you hired? I'm in NEPA too. And @mimitrue who did you find on thumbtack?

Tip for the rose petals down the aisle, BJs sells them online for about $80 for a bag of 5,000 petals which was WAY cheaper than my florist! You don't need to be a BJs member either.

"Typical reception flowers" vary a lot. Some people don't even use fresh flowers for reception decor, some people go all out.

Having that many bridesmaids = more money for flowers, as I'm sure you know. I'm paying $90 for my own bouquet and I think it was $50 for my MOH, and that's with mostly in-season flowers in an inexpensive region of the country. Overall I ended up spending $530 for bouquets, bouts, corsages, and four altar arrangements.

I would suggest you narrow down what you want, then just starting gathering quotes and looking at reviews for your local florists, unless you want to go DIY with ordering wholesale flowers.
