Flower budget in NY?

Meghan, on November 14, 2016 at 11:18 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

Hey everyone. Wondering what is average budget to spend on flowers these days? The flowers would be in season for the wedding so I know that will cut costs. We have 10-12 tables and we are getting married in a church. Any help would be great. Thank you

Holy cow!! I am so glad I live in a small town in Northern California. We spent $204 on flowers. For centerpieces, bouquets, bouts, and corsages. I feel for you ladies that have to spend so much.

OP have you looked at flower moxie?

I'm also Meghan from NY! We spent about $4k on flowers but they take care of EVERYTHING. They really work with you and make sure you get exactly what you want. We're using Flowers By Brian if you wanted to look it up. I believe they have multiple locations. Good luck!!

OHP/GreeneBunny I'm not who you were talking to but I'm only spending around $500 on flowers so sort of comparable? We're having bride bouquet, two BM bouquets, 6 bouts for the GMs and dads, 4 corsages for the moms and grandmothers, and some floral addition to the ceremony arch. We're not doing floral centerpieces.

ETA I just saw Ashley had centerpieces, that is really impressive! I assume she did her own?

I just looked over everything and the fresh floral centerpieces are included in my venue reception package. My bouquet, maid of honor bouquet, groom and groomsmen bouts, are also included. But I added upgrades to them all so I am paying an extra $60 for my bouquet, and extra to add stuff to the others. Then 3 bridesmaids bouquets, two wrist corsages, and 7 boutonnières are $204 from a florist, not doing it myself.

The florist is contracted with our venue, so that is probably why she is cheaper. If I wasnt getting married at my venue then I'm sure she would charge more.

Even though she is cheaper and I'm saving money, I am not impressed with her customer service. She has terrible communication. My wedding is this Saturday, and she just sent me the final invoice last week. I had been asking for about a month for one.

Flower moxie is cool. I would have went that route if I was t getting such a good price on flowers, but flower moxie is diy.

Hey Meghan! We've decided to hire Designs by Ahn for our intimate wedding. Our ceremony will be at The Foundry in Long Island City, Queens then we're heading to Maiella for our celebratory dinner. Everything is about $2,000 (includes tax, delivery and set up fees): bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaids bouquets, MOH bouquet, 7 buttouneirres, MOB and MOG corsages, ceremony altar arrangements and 6 centerpieces.

I'm in NYC. Our budget was 2500. We chose all season floral designs. We also were able to stay within our budget. We spent about 2400

    Eta:

We needed a bridal bouquet, 6 brdesmaids bouquets, 10 buttoneires, MOB and MOG, SIL corsages, pew bows, arrangement for the ceremony and about 20 center pieces. All in all, were pretty happy with the price and what we are getting for it

Long Island bride. I'm using Stylish Events, and my original quote was for $1700. It will be higher because we increased our guest list.

$1700 gives us: 13 centerpieces, seating card table arrangement, sweetheart table florals, 2 bouquets (me and the MOH), 1 throwaway bouquet, flower petals, 2 bouts, 2 corsages, setup, breakdown, delivery. Our venue includes florals for the ceremony space, so we're all set for that.

I'm also a Westchester, NY bride, and we are spending over 5k for everything. That's for 20 tables centerpieces (3 different styles), sweetheart table decor, cocktail hour table decor, ceremony decor/flowers (I had a really extravagant idea for that so I knew it was going to cost a lot), 8 bouquets, 2 corsages, 10 boutonnières, 2 memory bouquets, seating chart, updates linens, napkin holders, and a few pieces of furniture. If it's broken down they are really fair prices. The amount of tables and extra rentals like linens and furniture were what kicked the cost so high. I definitely recommend Flowers by Daniel! He is phenomenal!!

I was doing my weekly dollar store trip. I like to see what new things they get and if I can do any cool crafts. But anyways in the party area they had bags of fake rose petals. I got like 4 bags. Can't beat that price.

My florist is also from Westchester where our reception will be. We came in right around $2k for my bouquet, 6 BM bouquets, 8GM bouts, grooms bout, bouts and corsages for parents and grandparents, 5 high centerpieces, 5 low centerpieces for hydrangeas, peonies, garden roses.

We aren't doing any ceremony flowers, as our church is quite ornate already.

We are using 13th Avenue Florist in Brooklyn,NY. He has great packages at affordable prices, I believe prices start at $1500 and go up based on amount of people in the bridal party and centerpieces needed. I think the $2000 package should cover your needs. He also has a package for just centerpieces I believe it is $999 for 10-12. Hope this helps!
