How did you guys go about searching for florists?? Did you make appointments? Did you visit more then one person? I have no idea where to start! I looked at the vendor list and they all have high star reviews

I reached out to a florist who I saw being recommended by multiple brides on a regional wedding Facebook group. I checked out her Instagram to see what her work was like and was happy with the quote she sent me. I didn’t feel the need to get other quotes since she came so highly recommended and her prices seemed very reasonable.

I’ve met with one florist who is going to email me a detailed estimate. I’ve also reached out to a few others via email to avoid having to go to so many different meetings (they all sent me a detailed questionnaire and will be getting me estimates as well). I know prices vary based on the florist so I want to make sure I get enough quotes. It doesn’t hurt to shop around, some florists have completely different visions/design aesthetics!

I reached out to local florists and after finding out my favorite flowers do not grow in December decided to go with silk flowers. Local vendors are helpful and sometimes will offer good deals. Some give estimates on the spot. Make sure you know what you want in your bouquet or they will come up with what they want to make for you.

I picked most of my vendors by referral from friends that have used them! I felt like I got honest feedback, have seen their work before at another wedding etc. So definitely would ask some friends or family that were recently married for suggestions! My florist decorates my venue regularly (which is an inn) and knows the place top to bottom. She was super receptive and helpful

My photographer and my florist collaborate a lot so felt it was an easy decision.

I contacted a few local florists for pricing. Then I decided on etsy sola flowers because the prices were insane.

Giiiirl I never want to relive the florist days. I did go to more than one shop but those were the ones I was serious about. Most places with do email exchange to send you a quote on what you want. I did that for months. I think I only met with two. And the second one I settled on only after trying to get the cost down to my budget. It's still over so I have been wanting to cut things out again I just don't feel are necessary anymore for the cost. Make sure you go with a florist who is confident in the flower choices you want! And make sure they understand your vision. Even though over budget, I felt the florist I chose knows what I want and wasn't wishy-washy and didn't say she had trouble getting in the flowers I really want.

I'd definitely recommend reaching out to a few via email for quotes - even if they're ballpark numbers, you should be able to tell if they're in your budget or not. Once we ruled out a few due to price, we met with one in-person and saw some of the flowers they had on-hand and photos of other weddings they'd done. Ultimately I ended up deciding to DIY paper flowers, but I think the in-person meeting was helpful to talk through exactly what I did and didn't like.

I did some initial searches on WW and Yelp and then compared that to their Facebook pages or websites. I was looking at proximity to either my house or the venue, reviews, and portfolios to see if their tastes matched mine. I narrowed down to two and set up consultations on the same day. We chose our florist that same day. She does all of her work from home thanks to a small warehouse on the property and lives 5 minutes from my home.

Hey Marina! How has your search for a florist been going? Did you find anyone you like yet?
