I’m getting married in October 2020. When should I meet with a florist about my bouquet and other flowers for the wedding?
For your wedding all y’all planning on using live flowers for boutonnières/corsages? Or ordering those off of Etsy?

I'm getting married in August 2020 and we met with a florist last month. I actually spoke with about 6 before firming up with 1. Most of them were booking into 2020, and 1 of them already had my date booked when I reached out. I think it depends on where you live and how many choices you have. My florist has a general idea of what I want, and has quoted me in an itemized manner... but we will have a full in-depth meeting on details in the fall. It can't hurt to start reaching out to florists over the summer. I'm doing live florals for bouts.. but they will be largely greenery and not florals. hope that helps!

I met with a florist about 10 months in advance, but she had already had three other brides get in touch to book the same date (it's a big company, so they can handle multiple weddings in a day), so I don't think it's too early to get on someone's schedule, even if you don't finalize details for a while. You can usually make small changes up until a few months prior to the date. We're using real flowers for everything.

    Ok awesome!
I live in a relatively small town and there aren’t too many florists around so I’m worried about them being booked. I’m trying to jump on things like this and at least get my name penciled in but my mom is saying I’m doing things too early 😂 so I’m just trying to get a feel for an appropriate time line

We're getting married in December and started looking at florists at the beginning of the year. We wanted to meet with local florists before they got busy with wedding/prom season. For $600 we're getting my bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, and 3 corsages all with real flowers. We're also saving on delivery costs ($150) because my parents live around the corner and will pick them up for us the day of the wedding.

I am getting married April 25 of 2020 and I have a consultation with my florist in July. That being said this is a consultation to go over exactly how I want the bouquets and all of that. So she has already put me down for that date. I am doing real flowers because that’s kinda the only “theme” I am having dried pressed flowers on the cake, leaf confetti, so it really only makes sense for me to do real. Not only that but I am going to be sending them to someone on Etsy afterwards in order for her to turn it into pressed flower art! I definitely don’t think you have to go real though. Etsy, hobby lobby, Michaels, and there was a girl on here the other day that I saw made a beautiful bouquet from flowers at the dollar store!

This is who I have in mind. I haven’t contacted her yet so not sure how it works but I’m going for something like the work that she does.

Hi Taylor! Did you decide if you will use real flowers in your boutonnières/corsages? Have you booked a meeting with the florist yet?
