Florist/ Flower Ideas

I’m really stuck on what I want to do for my flowers for my wedding. We are simply going with Roses. Bouquet for the Bride and single Roses for the bridesmaids. Plus Rose boutonnieres for the men. What is everyone else doing? Are you hiring a florist? Are you DIYing your flowers? Centerpieces for our reception are comic book DIY Roses.

I actually skipped flowers, except my wrist corsage made from comic books so I just had to post after finding another comic book bride!

After looking for prices in my city (San Diego, CA) and getting prices from $2000-$8300 I decided to make my own. I am having a large reception on a ok budget and the flower's exceeded it.

I will be having a lot of vases with floating and pillar candles. I am making my bouquet, 2 moh bouquet, 5 bm bouquet, 13 boutonnieres, 1 ceremony garland, 20 aisle arrangement (small), 25 mini vase flowers, and sweet heart table flowers.

Etsy! I found a wonderful gal who is making all the things I need for the bridal party for under $500. The rest my MOH and I are going to DIY with bulk things off Etsy and Amazon. I might not even do any flowers in reception space except for maybe the sweetheart table. The rest is going to be lanterns and candles.

We are skipping real flowers due to the crazy cost. Going with silk or wood flowers from etsy. Decor will have minimal flowers, probably doing something like this. You can buy the lights for $2 on etsy, flowers for $2-$5 a piece, and then the containers from $10-$20 a piece. We decided to skip the arch, too. We'll be married under two trees so we'll be hanging small bulbs with the same lights in them. The bulbs cost $4 a piece. That's less than $200 for all the decor. So all that's left is the bouquets and it's looking like $25-$50 a piece.

I'll be purchasing my flowers from a local wholesaler and DIYing them with some friends the day before.

The lowest quote I received before was $600.

I will be able to purchase all wedding party arrangements + centerpieces + ceremony decor for under $200.

Something like this you could easily DIY your own. I've heard good things about flowers from Harris Teeter and Trader Joes. Plus there's lots of great tutorials on YouTube.

When a friend of mine got married we went to the local farmer's market the day before and had ourselves a DIY party with lots of wine. Smiley xd
