    Hey fellow winter bride!

We opted to have flowerless centerpieces to save money. For $600 our florist is making my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 9 boutonnieres, 3 wrist corsages, and cake flowers. We're going to use my bouquet on the sweetheart table and the bridesmaids bouquets will go on the cake table.

Ask them which flowers are in season during winter and try to use those over a lot of flowers that may be more expensive because they are not in season.

Use a lot of greenery as filler, it looks beautiful and wintery and costs way less than a million actual flowers.

Opt for flower-less centerpieces for some tables like lanterns or candles. Candles are SO CHEAP and are so beautiful (assuming you can burn them) if not go flameless. Maybe table centerpieces half floral and half candle/lantern/etc.

Keep things simple. the bigger = the more money. Flowers are pretty wasteful and get tossed at the end of the night. No one will remember your flowers after the wedding so don't stress over grand floral arrangements too much.

Find ways to move ceremony pieces to the reception. Bridesmaids bouquets can be put into vases for table centerpieces, ceremony arches can go on the sweetheart/head table for decor.

Loose greenery everywhere. We had looes greenery on tables and it looked amazing and cost us hardly anything. It also filled a lot of space so our tables looked lush and full with a small cost.

I would ask some of the questions I have included.
    - real vs fake flowers
    - renting items vs purchasing
    - flowers in season that could be used- if she is setting up and tearing down

You're welcome. Smiley laugh My florist also suggested keeping the same flowers throughout for pieces. Think about it: it's easier for your florist to order all white roses and some greenery compared to some of one flower, and some of another, etc.

We also saved $150 by picking up the flowers ourselves. My parents live 2 minutes from the florist; so it was better then her driving 40 minutes to deliver them.

I would agree with all of this! We are doing just baby's breath for the bridesmaids bouquets. I think it looks like a ball of snow. It's very pretty and cheap!!!
