Floral is very expensive. It's one of your biggest expenditures if you don't limit yourself. Consider small bouquets and small centerpieces if you are on a budget. Florists can add to the cost because of labor.

Depends on what flowers/colors/decor (candles, votives, etc) that you go with. Floral is super expensive and when I met with florists I had NO idea what to budget. If you give them a budget, they'll work with you on what they can and can't do. They'll get creative!

I will suggest meeting with multiple florists and giving them all the same vision of what you want. This way you're comparing apples to apples. Also, print out inspo pictures so they can get a visual of what you want. I nearly fell over when I received my first floral quote lol. Good luck!

It depends how much you’re willing to spend. I’ve heard of people spending thousands but to me that is ridiculous. My bouquet was $70 and it was perfect!

I've read in various places that flowers should be 8% of your budget and it came out to 10% for my wedding.

It depends on where you are and what you want. I’m in LA and our flowers ended up costing almost $4,000

It really depends on what you want where you are located. I’m in Las Vegas and our floral expend is about $2400. It will probably go up because I want more 😆

Wow this is super eye-opening for me, I had no idea either... I saw a few super cute Etsy profiles for life-like faux flower bouquets on the cheap and I'm thinking of recruiting a close florist friend of mine to help me with the simple centerpieces I'd like. Best of luck, I definitely agree on seeing multiple and getting a better idea that way!

My biggest piece of advice is to not be set on certain flowers. More popular or out of season flowers are more expensive. Be open to different types of flowers, plants, and filler. Talk with the florist and let them know what your budget and see what they can do to keep it as close to that as possible.

It's SUPER expensive. I'd look into Fifty Flowers and arrange them yourself if you want real flowers. This is what I'm doingSmiley smile

Do some research. I found a young florist starting out and doing business out of her apartment. She’s creating bouquets and boutonnières for us, bridal part of 6, flowers for parents, and 14 centerpieces for $1,400 with taxes and delivery.

I havent had had my wedding yet. But I’m not overly picky about flowers though. I’ll be happy if she just shows up with the correct amount of items. My budget is higher priority than flower quality. She didn’t have menu reviews but they were all positive. So we shall see.

My advice would be to do some research and maybe find someone without a ton of reviews or experience. I met with 3 different florists. I said what my budget was and they came up with a plan of what they could do with that.

I'm doing fake flowers and couldn't be happier with it! You can find real looking fake flowers and pay 1/4 of what you would for one bouquet! Smiley smile

I’m in NY. We got my bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 3 corsages, 7 boutonnieres, greenery for cake, and a garland for arch that will be moved to sweetheart table for about $1,200. (We’re doing centerpieces ourselves) And that was a deal for our area. Look heavily into what flowers will be in season for your day. It’ll make it cheaper. Our florist was great about showing us in season options.
