PHXBride, on October 3, 2017 at 7:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

Has anyone purchased flip flops for your guests at the reception? Did you think it was worth spending the money?

The last wedding I went to had then and people definitely used them. I think old navy has a $1 flip flop sale at the beginning of summer.

Oops I see beginning of summer would be too late for you. They still have great prices on flip flops after summer as well

Honestly, I hate these things. These are supposed to be adults and the constant chant is that you can't tell adults how to dress. Well, flip side of that, you aren't responsible for dealing with the bad choices other people make. Like the wrong shoes.

I love the concept. However, a wedding I recently went to had no dancing and none were used. Make sure your DJ is awesome and then maybe you will be in a different boat!

@Jennifer- I will save you some trouble. From someone who waited until summer was over to think about this.... get on old navy's website and order them for $2.50. Order enough to get free shipping (various sizes). Unless you're having a very large wedding and would need over 100 pairs, that's your best deal. I ordered 30 pairs. I looked for a week, everywhere, to find the best deal and that was it. And aside from what some people say, they won't use them, there are people that absolutely love this idea. I've seen them at 2 weddings and they were a total hit and kept people on the dance floor (some still chose to go barefoot) but in general, from my experiences they're pretty popular.

I found a site which sell a case of 48 white for about 72.00 (I actually found it searching the forum)

https://www.dollardays.com/i1996225-wholesale-womens-white-flip-flops.html for those who are interested.

I just didn't want to spare the expense and no one use them. I don't mind giving people an option if they want them.

I am for sure having some form of comfy shoes.
