Flameless Candles for Centerpieces

Marissa , on May 29, 2019 at 8:00 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5
Hello!
I’m getting married this September and it’s going to be a relatively small and laid back wedding. I’ve chosen to do candles and greenery rather than flowers for my centerpieces. I was hoping to do real candles, but my future MIL thought it would be better to use flameless since there will be some children at the reception (6 out of 7 of them are 6 years or under). I don’t mind that much at the end of the day, but I can’t find many pictures of centerpieces using flameless candles to have for inspiration. Any fellow brides out there have any pictures from their own centerpieces using flameless candles? Thanks!

The flameless candles have come a long way. They make floating ones too if you wanted to out them in water. I am probably using them as well. I just need to make up my mind how. Anything from the lanterns to Mason jars with a design etc.

I am using flameless candles for my centerpieces but I don't have any pictures. I bought white LED fairy lights off of amazon and they had matching white LED flickering flameless candles so I went with them instead of real candles so the colors would match. Here's a picture of the centerpieces with the fairy lights (the 3 candles in the picture are real candles) and a link to the flameless candles.

They definitely have. My MIL ordered some on Amazon and they look a lot better than I expected (i.e. not orange).
I’m struggling with how to use them as well. My original plan was to have varying sizes of pillar candles and some votives with greenery just laying on the table, between and around the candles. I wanted to use clear cylinder holders for the pillars candles and mismatched votive holders, but since I don’t NEED holders for flameless candles, I’m worried it’ll look like too much or just be kind of pointless.

    Hi Marrissa!

Would you consider mocking up a centerpiece with what you originally wanted (with the clear cylinder holders, and mismatched votive holders) and see how it looks? Just cause you don’t need them, doesn’t mean it won't look awesome! It always helps me to visually see something set up, tweak, and make changes that way!

For example, if you were planning to do a tea candle in a glass, you can just do the exact same thing except with a flameless tea candle instead. so in other words, for whatever you had planned to use the candles for, all you'd do is replace it with the same candle only difference is it'd be flameless. they make flameless candles now in all sizes!
