Fitness challenge & weight loss

Before & after- photo on left was 5 days before I started the challengeFitness challenge & weight loss 1Hi all! So I signed up for this fitness challenge which went for 8 weeks and it was just the thing I needed to do to kick start me into healthy habits with food and exercise. I just received my before and after photos from the studio and I am so happy with my results that I was too excited not to share! My goal was to lose 10kg by the wedding (which is on the 2nd Nov 2019), and I have already lost 8kg Smiley smile

    I followed an 8 week meal plan which had three different phases. But essentially I reduced my daily calorie intake, cut out refined sugar and gluten. The last phase of the meal plan was low carbs, but throughout the rest of it was good carbs like brown rice & sweet potato. It was lots of vegetables and protein.
    The other component was group fitness training HIIT (high intensity interval training) with a mix of cardio and strength based workouts. I went to these classes 5-6 days per week.

    I think my body responded well to it because I use to overeat and had no self control when it came to snacks. I also use to go to the gym 2-3 days week but never worked up a sweat and always left feeling unaccomplished because I never pushed myself.

    My biggest learning experience has been realising that I can’t rely on ‘motivation’. It is discipline, habit and hard work. I think motivation only comes once you see results but you need to put good habits in place to get there.

    Great job, you look great. I’ll be starting the F45 eight week challenge in July and look forward to it. The workouts at F45 are amazing and you lose weight and build muscles in a healthy way. I’m already seeing results. Keep it up!

    Oh definitely! I know F45 is expensive but once you do it you can see the value in it. After all- it’s an investment in your health. I hated going to the gym, but actually look forward to going to F45.
    I have signed up for a 6 month membership at F45. Good luck in the challenge! I’m sure you’ll do great

    Thank you. It’s definitely worth the money you spend for the membership. Same with me, never had motivation for the gym but look forward to my F45 classes. After seeing the calories I burn in a workout it motivates me to keep eating healthy. Now I love looking at myself in the mirror lol
